Welcome to Am I On Track To Retire (“the Service,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using our website and tools, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using any part of the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. Description of Service

Am I On Track To Retire is an educational retirement planning tool. The Service allows users to input financial information and generate projections, scenarios, and analyses related to retirement planning.

The Service is not a financial advisor, investment advisor, tax advisor, or legal advisor. All projections, calculations, estimates, and content provided by the Service are for informational and illustrative purposes only. They do not constitute financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.

4. No Professional Advice

Nothing on this website or within the Service should be construed as professional financial advice. Specifically:

  • Retirement projections are hypothetical and based on assumptions that may not reflect actual future conditions.
  • Social Security estimates are approximations and may differ from actual benefits.
  • Tax calculations are simplified models that do not account for all tax situations, state taxes, or future changes in tax law.
  • Monte Carlo simulations illustrate a range of possible outcomes but do not predict the future.
  • Healthcare cost projections are estimates that may not reflect your actual expenses.

You should consult qualified professionals — including financial advisors, tax professionals, and attorneys — before making any financial decisions based on information from the Service.

5. User Accounts

To use certain features of the Service, you may need to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

We use Supabase for authentication and data storage. By creating an account, you also agree to Supabase's terms of service as they apply to your use of their infrastructure through our Service.

6. User Data

You retain ownership of all financial and personal data you input into the Service. We do not sell, share, or monetize your data. Your data is used solely to provide the Service to you. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your information.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you provide. The quality of the Service's outputs depends on the accuracy of your inputs.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and functionality of the Service — including text, graphics, logos, and software — is owned by Am I On Track To Retire or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our prior written consent, except as permitted by applicable law.

8. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, other accounts, or computer systems.
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
  • Misrepresent outputs from the Service as professional financial advice.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any projections, calculations, or content provided by the Service.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AM I ON TRACK TO RETIRE, ITS CREATORS, CONTRIBUTORS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

  • Your use of or inability to use the Service;
  • Any financial decisions made based on information from the Service;
  • Any inaccuracies in projections, calculations, or estimates;
  • Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data;
  • Any other matter relating to the Service.

In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is less.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Am I On Track To Retire, its creators, contributors, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another.

12. Third-Party Services

The Service may integrate with or reference third-party services (such as Supabase for data storage and authentication, the Social Security Administration for benefit formulas, and IRS for tax brackets). We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of any third-party services.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, without notice. You may discontinue use of the Service at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Travis County, Texas.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, constitute the entire agreement between you and Am I On Track To Retire regarding your use of the Service.
